Sun protection is a must – every day.
But the most important question remains: Which SPF suits your skin type?
In this guide, we'll show you what to look for, what the terms SPF & PA really mean—and which sunscreen products from the Cosmadic Shop are right for you. 💛
SPF & PA – what does that actually mean?
You'll find both terms on every sunscreen, but what does it mean?
SPF = Sun Protection Factor
→ Indicates how well the product protects against UVB rays, i.e. sunburn
PA = Protection Grade of UVA
→ Protects against UVA rays, which penetrate deeper into the skin and cause skin aging and pigmentation spots
The more +, the stronger the UVA protection (e.g. PA++++ = very high protection)
Which sunscreen suits your skin type?
Every skin has its own needs – and the good news is: K-Beauty offers the right SPF solution for every skin type!
💧 Dry skin
Opt for rich, moisturizing formulas with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, or rice bran oil.
Recommendation:

✨ Normal skin
You're spoiled for choice! Choose a sunscreen that's easy to apply and leaves a pleasant finish.
Recommendation:
MISSHA All Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk SPF50+ PA+++

🌿 Sensitive skin
Less is more. Choose products with a physical filter that are free of alcohol, fragrances, and irritating ingredients.
Recommendation:

→ soothing, mineral & ideal for couperose or irritations
💦 Oily / combination skin
Light gel textures or oil-free fluids that absorb quickly and do not leave shine are ideal.
Recommendation:
TOCOBO Cotton Soft Sun Stick SPF50+ PA++++
→ ideal for on the go and for applying over make-up
🌸 Pale skin / pigment spots
Choose sunscreen products with additional brightening ingredients such as niacinamide or vitamin C.
Recommendation:
TOCOBO Vita Tone Up Sun Cream SPF50+ PA++++
→ protects & provides a naturally radiant finish
How often should you apply sunscreen?
Unfortunately, once in the morning is not enough – especially if you sweat, spend a lot of time outdoors or wear makeup.
Our recommendation:
- Apply generously in the morning (2 finger lengths for the face)
- Reapply cream every 2–3 hours, especially when sunbathing, exercising or spending time outdoors
- Sun Sticks are ideal for on the go & over foundation
